This Optimus Prime Robot Was The Coolest Thing At CES 2023

Now that CES 2023 is over, we are seeing many people rave about the things they discovered at the event. This year has brought us some of the most interesting and advanced technological items, and one of these would definitely be the Optimus Prime robot. The robot had people go crazy over what it could do – and how well it could do these things. We’ll take a closer look at how the Optimus Prime robot at CES 2023 really made people bring out their inner child at the event.

What’s So Special About The Optimus Prime Robot?

The Optimus Prime robot could be seen at the Robosen booth, a company that specializes in the production of advanced robotics. This particular robot was made in collaboration with a popular company in the toys industry, Hasbro. Together, they created one of the world’s most advanced remote-controlled toys – and gave it the shape of the Optimus Prime robot in the Transformers franchise.

At first glance, the robot may not look very impressive. It offers a design that does closely resemble the appearance of Optimus Prime, but before you turn this toy on, it serves as no more than an action figure.

The surprise came when the Robosen representatives switched on the Optimus Prime robot – and after the press of a button, the 19-inch robot toy transformed from the robot we know to the truck he transformed into when you watch the show. The truck even perfectly resembled the appearance of the vehicle we see on the Transformers show. While we’ve seen some transformer toys that go from robot to truck in the past, this is something different. The entire transformation is smooth and automatic, with no need for human input to align parts together.

Of course, this was only one of the many exciting features that we were able to observe at the Robosen booth. The robot was able to do so much more than just transform into a track – and then back into its original form. The robot was able to move – walk forward, backward, and even sideways without any problems. Then came a kick – with the robot standing on just one leg while performing the kick – and it remained stable during this entire time.

Another exciting feature was the fact that Optimus Prime was able to get up by itself after falling down. It’s definitely the most realistic thing we have to the fictional robot we can see in the Transformers movie.

Robosen also announced that the Optimus Prime robot would be available to buy, but the price does make the toy unreachable for some people. The model that was showcased at the CES 2023 event measures 19 inches in height and will set you back $999 if you decide to get your hands on it.

Fortunately, for those who do not want to spend as much, Robosen also revealed a smaller model. The smaller model can do exactly the same things as the original one that was showcased at the booth but only has a more compact design. This particular model will be sold for $699.

There is a mobile app that connects with the Optimus Prime robot, which gives you the ability to control the toy remotely. The app also features a range of programmable functions, which means that the actions we saw Optimus Prime perform at the Robosen booth only showed us a few examples of what we can do with this robot. Through programming, it is possible to make the robot do much more than these actions – with your own creativity and programming capabilities being the only limitations to what moves you can set up for the robot.

According to Robosen, the Optimus Prime robot is a flagship model for the company. It also comes with voice control functions, which allow you to tell the robot to “move left” or “attack” without the need to use any controls or take your smartphone out of your pocket.

The mobile app that is used to control the robot currently supports both Android and iOS devices. You can download the app directly from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, depending on the type of smartphone you use.

Apart from the Optimus Prime models, Robosen also has other robotic toys available, which come at more affordable rates – starting from $299.

Conclusion

The CES 2023 event was very exciting, and we were introduced to a lot of different technologies, from 3D displays that don’t require special glasses all the way to new advancements in the VR industry. Something that really stood out, however, was actually a toy – a robot from the Transformers movie. The highly interactive robot can do advanced maneuvers and even get up after it falls down, which is quite impressive compared to other remote-controlled toys on the market.
