- Windows Netmeeting 3.1
Microsoft NetMeeting was a VoIP and multi-point videoconferencing client included in many versions of Microsoft Windows (from Windows 95 OSR2 to Windows XP). It used the H.323 protocol for video and audio conferencing, and was interoperable with OpenH323-based clients such as Ekiga, and Internet Locator Service (ILS) as reflector. It also used a slightly modified version of the ITU T.120 Protocol for whiteboarding, application sharing, desktop sharing, remote desktop sharing (RDS) and file transfers. The secondary Whiteboard in NetMeeting 2.1 and later utilized the H.324 protocol. (wikipedia.com.au)
- What is My IP
Whatismyip.com is the website that provides its customers with the quickest and simplest way to determine their Internet Protocol (IP) address. An IP address allows all information technology devices to communicate with each other and is an exclusive identification number. Just like a home address is necessary to receive regular (snail) mail, the IP Address is necessary for you to receive information and is true for all equipment on the internet. (faqs.org)
- Ping Test
Pingtest.net is a free broadband quality analyzer designed to complement Speedtest.net. The best thing about this service is that once you have your results you will be able to share and compare them with other people around the globe. Will that put an end to the complaints of people? I don't think so. But it is bound to put everything in perspective, at least partially. (killerstartups.com)
- Test Connection Speed
A free broadband connection analysis website that the users can test their internet speed against hundreds of geographically dispersed servers around the world. At the end of each test, users are presented with their download (the speed of data from the server to your computer) and upload (the speed of sending data from your computer to the server) bandwidth speeds. The tests are performed completely within your web browser over HTTP (just like normal web browsing).
- Compare Internet Service Provider in your Area
Whirlpool is an Australian broadband user web site, started in 1998 by founder, Simon Wright. Since then, it has grown significantly with over 370,000 registered users (as of 23 July 2010) while remaining independent. The purpose of the forums is to provide a place to discuss broadband and related areas (such as networking). Representatives from many Australian service providers, hardware vendors and merchants use Whirlpool as a strictly non-official support and communication channel.
- Get Registered Website Domain Details Here
WHOIS (who is) is the aptly named Internet function that allows one to query remote WHOIS databases for domain registration information. By performing a simple WHOIS search you can discover when and by whom a domain was registered, contact information, and more. A WHOIS search can also reveal the name or network mapped to a numerical IP address.
- Remote Support Connection Software
suite of software services that provides remote access to computers over the Internet. The various product versions are designed for both end users and professional help desk personnel. LogMeIn remote access products use a proprietary remote desktop protocol that is transmitted via SSL. An SSL certificate is created for each remote desktop and is used to cryptographically secure communications between the remote desktop and the accessing computer.
